XTERRA West Championship race will take Place at Lake Las Vegas in Henderson, NV. The Start and Finish are in the same location as the Transition area. That includes the swim. It will be an out and back to the Loews Hotel Beach. There will be (2) races. One race will be the XTERRA Sport, ideal for those just getting into the sport, doing their first offroad tri or maybe your just not quite ready to commit to the longer course. with just 1 lap one each swim, bike and run course, this is the perfect place to start. The second and "Main Event" will be the XTERRA Cup Championship. ...the weather doesn't matter in the dirt! This is fun!- This course is entirely on private property. This map through Google Earth and One Million Revolutions is not updated with the current terrain changes. Since the satellite photos were taken of this area, mountains have literally been removed and roads/trail have been graded.- This terrain is very challenging. The climbs are long and steep, the descent's are fast and rocky. It is extremely hardpacked but rocky. There is no significant, loose, deep or prolonged sand on this course.
